Calibanus hookerii From Central and North East Mexico this unusual low growing species derives its name from the monster Caliban in Shakespeare's Tempest. The plant is composed of a low hemisphaerical woody base covered in a grey-brown corky bark from which come long tufts of thin wiry grass like leaves.Our plants are nicely developed seedlings approx 2 cm dia caudex.
